More about:

Bridgerton season two is so close we can already taste the obsession starting up again. While we’re still a little sad to be kissing goodbye to the Duke and Daphne’s storyline, the new focus on Lord Bridgerton has promised big drama, and from the look of the soundtrack, it’s going to deliver.

Returning for the new season, the Vitamin String Quartet have reimagined more tracks into classics, transforming the sounds of the last couple of years into old-timey bops. Last season it was Shawn Mendes and Ariana Grande soundtracking the gushing love story, but season two’s features suggest trouble is brewing.

Not sure about you, but a soundtrack including string covers of Nirvana, Alanis Morrissette and Miley Cyrus’ Wrecking Ball suggests there’s going to be some angst. Maybe some dramatic ballroom walkouts? Some major heartbreaks? Some revenge?

But on the flip side, the girls are being fed with orchestral versions of Madonna’s Material Girls and Robyn’s Dancing On My Own, so at least there will be some high points.

All in all offering up a far more varied soundtrack from the first series, with songs that are happy, sad, angry, sexy and fun; it’s a sign that we should be prepared for a real rollercoaster of emotions. Strap in.

The Bridgerton season two soundtrack includes:

  1.  Stay Away (Nirvana Cover) - Vitamin String Quartet
  2. Material Girl (Madonna Cover) - Kris Bowers
  3. Diamonds (Rihanna Cover) - Hannah V & Joe Rodwell
  4.  Dancing on My Own (Robyn Cover) - Vitamin String Quartet
