The group released their debut album earlier this year to great critical acclaim and have been praised for the madcap fun of their live performances. "Combined, they're just too smart to fail", we said about the band's self-titled debut in our review.
Speaking to Gigwise of the fan reaction to their teaming up, Alex Kapranos said, "I would hope that both of our sets of fans would expect to be surprised. Most people I've spoken to have said 'Oh, I would never have thought of that, but it totally makes sense'."
