Chris Brown is being sued by a gunshot victim after he was shot at one of the popstar's concerts earlier this year.
The singer was performing the "Chris Brown Capricorn Bash" at the Fiesta nightclub in San Jose in January when a gunman opened fire causing commotion and Brown to flee the scene.
Five people were injured by the assailant, including Paul Briley, who has launched a lawsuit against Brown. He claims that the singer and his management failed to take the appropriate security measures at the show.
Briley is seeking unspecified damages for mental anguish, time missed from work and more but Brown's representatives insist the lawsuit doesn't have a leg to stand on.
A statement sourced from Brown's lawyers on HipHopWired.com reads: "It is a poor reflection of our society that violence is so prevalent and it is always a tragedy when someone is physically harmed. However this is a completely frivolous"
"We expect that the case will be dismissed and in future, to avoid these reoccurring meritless lawsuits directed at Chris Brown, we plan to seek damages from all parties and their lawyers."

Unsurprisingly, Briley's legal team threw the Rihanna incident into their case against Brown. The singer's reputation as an abusive and abhorrent human has recently resurfaced surrounding his new Rita Ora collaboration.
When asked about Brown's history of being a generally awful person. Ora said: "The discrimination and all what people think? If you have a great song then no one cares."
