Bono seems to still be recovering from his bike accident last year which left him with a fractured eye socket, shoulder and elbow - with their world arena tour kicking off in just two weeks time.
The frontman suggested his left hand has still not recovered in a recent interview with The New York Times.
"It's like I have somebody else's hand, they say the nerves heal about a millimeter a week, so in about 13 months I should know if it's coming back," said Bono.
As it stands, the group are still kicking off their 70 date iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE tour on 14 May in Vancouver, which will see them playing in America, Canada and Europe.
The four-piece have also been experimenting with a new sound system for the shows, where the speakers will not be located at the stage but suspended above the audience where everybody will be able to hear the sound equally.
This is not the only unique offering to the forthcoming tour, the shows will be split into two sections with the first half being a fixed setlist whilst the second will have more variation. These are expected to take place on seperate stages in the shape of an 'i' and an 'e' to represent the words 'innocence' and 'experience,' a theme which was the subject of last year's Songs Of Innocence.
