It has been confirmed today that Errol Brown, lead singer of Hot Chocolate has died. He suffered from liver cancer and died at his home.

Phil Dale, Brown's manager confirmed the news of the 71-year-old's passing today.

He called Brown 'a wonderful gentleman', and went on to say "there was always music around whenever he was. I've been with him in the middle of Australia and he has got an idea for a song and started writing."

Errol Brown was most famous for his hit singles 'You Sexy Thing' and 'So You Win Again' which charted in the UK at No.2 and 1 respectively. Brown is survived by his wife and two daughters. He was also made an MBE in 2003 due to his services to popular music in the United Kingdom.
