If you work up this morning crying for no reason, then we have some great news for you. Katy B is back with a cracking new song featuring Four Tet and Floating Points. On a mission to get her name back on the playing field, check out Katy B's comeback track 'Calm Down' below.
Working with the seasoned Four Tet and the fast-on-the-rise Floating Point was a dynamite production decision so kudos to whoever orchestra that.Squashy bass that jaunts atop of shuffling percussion, the track kicks off with this idiosyncratic beat that could have only come out of a Four Tet production feature. Katy's voice is on point as you'd expect. 'Calm Down' probably won't itself in the top 40 dance tracks or a regular on the Propaganda playlist but it's ideal for kicking off pre-drinks with.
'Calm Down' is the first release on Katy B's upcoming Honey project. More information on this new release at the beginning of 2016 supposedly. We're imagining a release around Spring next year since Katy has announced a Brixton show for May - more information on that below.
