Following his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Maroon 5’s Adam Levine took some time to sign autographs for his fans outside the LA studio – but he was unexpectedly hit with a “sugar bomb” – you can watch the incident below.
According to ABC News, Levine stopped by the show to perform his track ‘Sugar’. After the show, when he stepped outside to greet fans, someone in the crowd threw a large amount of powdered sugar at him, resulting in half of his face being covered with the sugar.
"It looked like he wanted to fight the guy," eyewitness Laura Tijerina told CNN of the incident. "I think this guy had it planned. It was a brown bag with tape around it, which was weird. I just saw powder everywhere. It was just so quick."
The man who threw the sugar, ABC News reports, was 28-year-old Navid Farsi. Last week, he threw a rock at Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and was arrested, LAPD Officer Liliana Preciado told ABC.
Following the sugar-throwing incident, Farsi was arrested on suspicion of battery, and is being held on $100,000 bail, police told ABC.
