Modest Mouse have announced new US tour dates, in support of their most recent LP Strangers To Ourselves – their first album in eight years.
The band are already on tour, having just wrapped up a few dates in South Africa. They will be returning to the US with a May 23 show at Sasquatch Music Festival in Washington. They have also added on a few extra US dates, including Mo Pop Festival in Detroit and an appearance at Austin City Limits. Modest Mouse recently revealed that they’re already planning their next album, which is expected to be released in 2016 and it will feature Nirvana's Krist Novoselic.
Frontman Isaac Brock told Hot Press: "We ended up finishing tracking with one of [Novoselic’s] songs that will end up on the next record. It fits the second piece, the companion piece to this record, a bit better. We basically made two records at the same time. Which, if people look at it that way, cuts down the amount of time it took us to make this record in HALF, man!”
