Following the unexpected results of last night's UK election, stars of the music world have taken to Twitter to voice their opinion.

It was always slated as an unpredictable race, but no one quite expected the Conservative landslide that appears to have taken place - with David Cameron's Tory party taking the majority in The House Of Commons, avoiding the need for coalition by just a few seats.

Staunch anti-Conservative and Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke has voiced his digust online, saying "the City must be very pleased... (spits)". Yorke has already spoken out against the government's 'staggering hypocrisy' over tax avoidance

Enter Shikaris Rou Reynold's agrees, saying that Tory areas "are clearly full of the heartless", while Charlotte Church put the result down to "the politics of fear".

Meanwhile, Mogwai's Stuart Braithwaite voiced his joy at the massive SNP win across Scotland, writing "my dad would have loved this".
