The first clip from the upcoming controversial Amy Winehouse documentary, AMY, has been unveiled. Check it out below.
The teaser footage from AMY shows the singer being quite candid with the camera, as she jokes and smokes before breaking into song before her former manager Nick Schmansky opens up about working with her in the early days.
"We'd recorded quite a few demo recordings, and I started to talk about whether she'd ever consider writing," says Schmansky. "She said she's not sure about writing songs, but she's written a lot of poems. She knew full well she'd been writing songs, but they were very personal songs."

AMY hits cinemas in the UK on 3 July.
The film has come under fire from the late star's father, Mitch Winehouse, who said:"I felt sick when I watched it for the first time. Amy would have be furious. This is not what she would have wanted."
He added: “We can’t stop it but when the film does come out we can sue for libel or slander. Our lawyers will view the film and reserve the right to do that and see whether there are any grounds".
Winehouse died on 23 July 2011 from alcohol poisoning.
