Blur fans will be delighted to know that for their forthcoming band the will also have the chance to try their own unique type of icecream.
Created by London dairy specialists The Licktators - who have in the past released ice creams based around breast milk and female viagra - the frozen dessert will be available at their UK dates and at the Co-op. According to the brand they will be The Magic Whip flavour is “a dairy vanilla custard ice cream rippled with raspberry sauce.” The brand have also promised a unique Blur download with each ice cream sold.
What's particularly good is that they've gone with the one ice cream who seems to delight in coming up with rock'n'roll icecreams. Previous efforts have included Jiggy Pop (popcorn flavour), John Lemon (Lemon curd) and Choc N' Roll Rehab (chocolate and praline). One suspects that Alex James will be disappointed by the lack of a hint of cheese, but frankly we're grateful.
The returning Britpop heroes, who recently topped the charts with the brilliant new album The Magic Whip, will be hitting the road to perform three shows - calling at Glasgow, Blackpool, and Llandudno.
