More about: Amy Winehouse
The much-discussed Amy Winehouse documentary Amy will receive it's UK premiere at this year's Glastonbury festival.
First spotted by Line Of Best Fit, the documentary will be screened in the William's Green area of the site. Directed by Asif Kapadia (the man behind Senna), the film is hugely anticipated despite the protests made by Winehouse's father Mitch.
In a joint statement from Kapadia and producer James Gay-Rees the pair announced: "Amy was a once-in-a-generation talent who captured everyone's attention. She wrote and sung from the heart and everyone fell under her spell. But tragically Amy seemed to fall apart under the relentless media attention, her troubled relationships, her global success and precarious lifestyle. As a society we celebrated her huge success but then we were quick to judge her failings when it suited us."
