More about:

Babe Club are a new wave indie duo consisting of frontwoman and singer-songwriter Jenna Desmond and guitarist / keyboardist Corey Campbell. Today, they share the Remember This Feeling EP.

Starting out in 2018 with single release ‘Hate Myself,’ the group have since spent the last couple of years compiling for today’s release. Floating tranquil riffs, with fun synths Babe Club’s nonchalant style shimmers with pinches of Wolf Alice and Sonic Youth, and speckles of Blondie.

Produced by Dan Gleason, today marks the official release of Remember This Feeling. Warped and indie driven opener ‘Future Talks’ is a melodic and dreamlike instalment with 80s pop synths. Their guitar driven sound is weaved throughout - buoyant in ‘Future Talks,’ grungy in, ‘Automatic Love,’ and minimal in concluding ‘Expectation.’

With Desmond’s raw lyricism and Campbell’s psych riffs and electropop synths, ‘Remember This Feeling,’ effortlessly takes us through a journey about dating, and finding yourself.

Whilst their EP stands pretty faultless to our ears, Babe Club touch upon the making of this stunning piece, saying: “We were bouncing between the joys of writing and playing together, and the trial and errors of many psychotic states of self-doubt. ‘Remember this Feeling,’ is for you to remember the joy you had the very first time you started doing what you love. Let it guide you through all the muck.”

This message couldn’t be more relevant with everything going on this year, from the global pandemic, to the US elections to a second UK lockdown ‘Remember This Feeling’ is a gentle reminder to take each day as it comes and not let the negatives outweigh the drive that got you this far in the first place.
