More about:

System of a Down have returned after a fifteen year hiatus with two new songs. 'Protect The Land' and 'Genocidal Humanoidz' are fundraising tracks to raise money and awareness for the plight of Armenia, which is being attacked by Aliyev in Azerbaijan and Erdogan in Turkey.

Both tracks are devastating bangers, with 'Protect The Land' also arriving with a moving video featuring shots of protest and fighting in the country. Check it out:

Lead vocalist Serj Tankian, who is Armenian-American said: "The aggression and injustice being perpetrated against the Armenian people in Artsakh and Armenia by Azerbaijan and Turkey is a human rights violation and a war crime”, said Tankian. “All of us in System realize this is an existential battle for our people, so this is very personal for us. What we need right now is for the world to put politics aside and support Armenia by sanctioning Turkey and Azerbaijan and recognizing Artsakh”.

The tracks are available for purchase on Bandcamp with band royalties earmarked for the Armenia Fund.
