Avant-garde R&B artist Gallant has produced a stripped back cover of Foo Fighters' 'Learn To Fly'. Listen to it below.
LA based R&B singer Gallant has recorded a bold reworking of the Foo Fighters lead single from their third album There Is Nothing Left to Lose. Taking the track into an otherworldly orchestral world to begin with, Gallant's heartfelt vocals impresses, imbuing the track with the kind of rich melancholy Frank Ocean is so well known for.

Little is known about Gallant - his Facebook and Tumblr are more concerned with evocative imagery rather than anything vaguely autobiographical. All we can discern is that he is signed to ZHU's Mind Of A Genius Records, his debut EP Zebra was critically acclaimed and his philosophy seems to boil down to the statement: "I wonder if the outtakes from my diary could ever define you." Compare his track with the Dave Grohl original below - we're not expecting to see Gallant spoofing Leslie Nielsen's Airplane! any time soon.
Gallant is set to play the following live dates in advance of his first album (you can hear the first single 'Open Up' on his soundcloud).
1 June - Los Angeles School Night at Bardot
11 June - New York City Neon Gold Presents: Pop Shop The Westway
