More about: The Black KeysLana Del Rey
The Black Keys' Dan Auerbach has denied that he'll be getting back behind the desk with Lana Del Rey to produce her new album, Honeymoon.
The frontman worked as a producer on Del Rey's 2014 album Ultraviolence, alongside the likes of Paul Epworth. Del Rey is already set to release the follow-up to Ultraviolence this year, with Honeymoon due to drop in September.
However, now Auerbach has denied any involvement in the LP. "I think [Lana] went back and is working with her old producer," he told NME.
Speaking of Ultraviolence, Auerbach last year spoke of how the pair often fought and 'bumped heads'.
"We were only scheduled to do three days, and then she stretched it out to two weeks and we finished a whole record. She's the real deal," he said.
"She impressed me every day. There were moments when she was fighting me. I could sense that maybe she didn't want to have anybody think she wasn't in control because I'm sure it's really hard to be a woman in the music business. So we bumped heads a little bit, but at the end of the day we were dancing to the songs."
Meanwhile, Auerbach is set to release a 'weird experimental album' with side project The Arcs, aft The Black Keys complete a summer of touring which includes a headline slot at Isle Of Wight alongside Fleetwood Mac, Pharrell and Blur. For tickets and information, visit here.
