More about: Kanye West
Kanye West is reportedly in talks with Apple to launch his forthcoming LP SWISH exclusively via Apple's new streaming service.
Despite being co-owner of streaming rival TIDAL, West may be premiering his seventh LP with Apple's soon-to-be streaming service. The company have promised exclusive content from playlists to exclusive album launches, and Kanye West's SWISH may become one of the first to debut via the service, BuzzFeed reports.
Kanye West have often stated his love for Apple, and this may be reflected soon after 'intense negations' with the company.
“Sources say the company has been talking to him about it for some time, but hasn’t yet been able to finalise a deal, and negotiations between Kanye and Jimmy Iovine continue,” claims BuzzFeed.
But don't expect the album just yet, as it's unlikely that the album will launch alongside Apple's streaming service.
All of this comes after U2 infamously released last year's Songs Of Innocence via Apple, resulting in millions of downloads to user's devices and a lot of controversy. With such a contentious celebrity as Kanye, if the release of SWISH pulls a similar stunt goodness knows what the internet will say this time.
