Saturday at Glastonbury has kicked off in triumphant fashion, with Swim Deep playing a storming set to open The Other Stage.
Fresh after announcing their long-awaited second album Mothers earlier this week, the Birmingham outfit brought joy and calculation to their early morning slot, a perfect combination in the blazing sun that's hit the site today.
Sitting as arguably one of the finest festival bands on the circuit, it's astounding how seamlessly their old and new material fits together, from the glorious simplicity of past singles like 'Honey' through to the meticulously crafted soundscapes they bring to the floor on newer cuts 'Hotel California' and 'One Great Song And I Could Change The World'.
Condensing how far they've developed as a band over the years, ultimately Glastonbury feels like the perfect home for Swim Deep, and that only became further apparent with the justifiably warm reception they received throughout their fantastic performance, particularly during the early hits that have no doubt ended up on everyone's summer playlists at some point.
Glastonbury continues today (27 June) with performances from Slaves, Skepta, Pharrell Williams, Father John Misty, The Maccabees and many more, while Kanye West will top the bill on the pyramid stage.
