Nicki Minaj arrived two and a half hours late to Wireless Festival last night (5 July), due to "last minute travel issues."
The singer was due to perform at 7pm on the main stage, but had still failed to show up an hour after that time. At this point, the festival put a message on the big screen which read, "Special announcement: we are told that she was due to be speeding down the M1 from Luton Airport but we have lost contact with her, we are hoping that she will be here soon."

Minaj finally arrived at 9.30pm, and joined David Guetta at the end of his set, during which the pair performed their collaborative single 'Hey Mama'. Minaj then performed an hour-long set of her biggest hits, which included 'Anaconda', 'Super Bass' and 'Feeling Myself.'
As NME reports, Minaj told the crowd, "Our plane couldn't get out because of the weather but I want to tell you how much I fucking love y'all. I want to tell you how much I appreciate you guys for showing up from day one."
She added, "I want to say that to all the women in the building, if you are independent, make some motherfucking noise!"
Elsewhere at Wireless, Drake, A$AP Rocky, Avicii and Kendrick Lamar performed, and dozens of people stormed in without tickets after an attendee opened a locked gate.
