We've all bought something on eBay we regretted, or engaged in an ill-advised bidding war just to spite the other bidder... but rarely have we seen an eBay listing quite as stupid as this - a clump of "100% genuine" Glastonbury mud.
The listing describes the mud's condition as "used", and was posted on 30 June, as DIY discovered. The seller writes, "This is genuine 100% glastonbury mud collected on my wellies from the glastonbury festival site."
Having been up there for a week with no bids, the listing might have faded into obscurity if it wasn't for a "bidding war" that erupted between Wolf Alice's Theo Ellis, Crows' James Cox and Swim Deep's James Balmont. The mud is now going for a whopping £2.70.

@diymagazine @SteadyTheo @Coxzilla we're currently engaged in a bidding war

Given that the item has only two bids, and there are supposedly three people in this bidding war, we'd suggest one of them needs to step up their game.
If you fancy a small clump of genuine Glastonbury mud (with, if you can believe it, grass attached) then you better get a move on. The auction ends at 19.10 BST.
