The new poster for The Rolling Stones' upcoming London exhibition has been censored in London tube stations - leaving the band 'dumbfounded'.
The appropriately titled 'EXHIBITIONISM' will open at London's Saatchi Gallery next year and will act as the band's first ever major exhibition - following in a similar vein to the acclaimed David Bowie Is.
The expo will feature over 500 Rolling Stones artefacts from personal archives and will showcase rare instruments, unheard audio tracks, individual tour diaries and original stage designs.
The poster, which features the iconic tongue logo over a woman's crotch, has been rejected by advertising regulators and instead a reworked version with the logo moved up over the woman's belly button will be shown in the London Underground. This change will only affect London stations, the rest of the country will received the unadulterated original.
Speaking on the issue, a Rolling Stone's spokesperson commented: "We are dumbfounded and perplexed at this rather silly decision. Perhaps something to do with the fact that it's the Rolling Stones and controversy still seems to follow them everywhere."

The promotional material will be released to the public next Monday, July 13.
Speaking about the exhibition, guitarist Ronnie Wood said: "The exhibition is an insight into an ongoing machine and institution that will never stop rumbling. We didn't get into this exhibition with the thought of retiring. It's just another input onto the travelling circus."
The Stones recently dispelled rumours of splitting up at the launch of their exhibition (via NME).
'EXHIBITIONISM' will run from April 6, 2016 until September 2016. Click here for more information and tickets.
