More about:

Members of Slowdiver, Editors, Mogwai and Hand Held Cine Club have formed a supergroup, Minor Victories, and are currently working on their debut album.

It had already been reported that Slowdive's Rachel Goswell had recorded a duet with Sun Kil Moon's Mark Kozelek, but it's now been revealed that this duet will form part of an album by the newly formed Minor Victories.

The supergroup comprise Goswell, Editors' Justin Lockey, Mogwai's Stuart Braithwaite and Hand Held Cine Club's James Lockey. Kozelek's contribution will not extend beyond his duet with Goswell.

As Pitchfork reports, Justin Lockey said of the project, "So there's a record (like a real long player from back in the day) being made, a band being formed, noise being traded, analogies thrown around between Rachel Goswell (Slowdive) Justin Lockey (Editors) Stuart Braithwaite (Mogwai) James Lockey (handheldcineclub). There's some other people involved too but more on that later... For the time being, it's sounding fucking class."

Meanwhile, Editors will embark on a full UK tour in October, which includes a show at London's Hammersmith Apollo, as well as gigs in Manchester, Portsmouth, Birstol, Leeds, Newcastle and more. Full tour dates are below. For tickets and more information, click here.
