More about:

PJ Harvey has announced two shows in October with Seamus Murphy to promote their collaborative boom, 'The Hollow Of The Hand'.

The show's will be on the evenings of October 9 and 10 and will be held at the London Literature Festival held at the Southbank Centre's Royal Festival Hall this Autumn.

Harvey will be joined by cinematographer Seamus Murphy for a show of poetry, readings and new songs, accompanied by images and a short film by Murphy. The performance will also feature guest slots from Ali Smith, Mark Watson, Tim Key and more.

'The Hollow Of The Hand' was created and written during Murphy and Harvey's travels to destinations including Afghanistan, Washington DC and Kosovo between 2011 and 2014. The book is a personal and eye-opening 224-page collection of photographs and words from their travels.

The last we heard about new material from PJ Harvey came from the recording of her ninth album recorded as an art installation at London's Somerset House. The recently opened New Wing was transformed into a recording studio with one way glass.
