New Order have revealed a modern take on the feudal system with their new video for latest single 'Restless', watch the video below.
'Restless' is the first taste of the new-wave legends' 10th studio album, Music Complete, and was graced to us a few weeks ago. The grand and expansive allure of the track seeps so deep the sourness of a Peter Hook-less New Order starts to fade.
The video is a confusing coalescence of a medieval rave scene involving swords in stones and the crowning of a young, vested bohemian. These scenes are intermitted by found-footage style shots of curious cultish behaviour.
The video has been directed by acclaimed Spanish filmmakers NYSU, who have previously worked with Wild Beasts and Radiohead’s Philip Selway. The plot is loosely based around the myth of Excalibur but revamped for the 21st century audience.
