The Libertines have announced details of intimate UK club shows, after storming Reading and Leeds festival this weekend. Dates and ticket details are below.
The band closed Reading Festival this weekend with a triumphant and career-defining set. Now, they'll be launching new album Anthems For Doomed Youth with five very sweaty and chaotic gigs in London, Manchester and Bristol - all kicking off next week.
"I get really pissed off at a gig and bands play nothing but stuff you don't know," Carl Barat told Gigwise this weekend. "I think when you go and see a band that you like, it should be a celebration of them," agreed drummer Gary Powell. "There's not much point in celebrating something you don't really know."
So there you have it - expect all of your favourite Arcadian hits as well as a smattering of soon-to-be-classics. They're also rumoured for a show at the Dublin Castle in Camden as part of their 'Somewhere Over The Railings' events in London on Friday (4 September).
"Ahead of the record coming out on 11 September we wanted to plot and confirm a small run of dates as an extension of Somewhere Over The Railings," say the band in a statement. "As promised these will be a bit special, so following our outings at festivals have purposely chosen some more intimate spaces to bring the live show."
