The world of music has paid tribute to the people of Paris after the sickening terrorist attack - including a shooting and hostage nightmare at an Eagles Of Death Metal gig tonight (13 November, 2015).

Eagles Of Death Metal were due to play a show at The Bataclan theatre, when terrorists stormed the venue before opening fire on concert-goers and throwing grenades. At the time of writing, the death toll at the venue was 114.

Security then killed two of the attackers following a hostage siege. Some band members reported that they were safe having escaped - but they then claimed that they were unaware of the well-being of some of their band and crew.

Elsewhere in Paris, there were horriffic shootings at the Petit Cambodge bar and restaurant, in Paris's 10th arrondissemen - and at the Stade De France where President François Hollande was watching a friendly football match between France and Germany.

ISIS have since issued a statement claiming responsibility for the attacks - referring to the gig-going victims as 'idolators together for a party of perversity'. U2, Deftones and many more have since cancelled Paris gigs amid safety concerns.

The British Foreign Office say anyone who is worried about friend or relatives that may have been caught up in the attack can call 0207 0081500 for more information.

Now, the world of music has paid tribute - with the likes of Muse, Madonna, Deftones, Ariana Grande, Deadmau5, Years & Years and many more paying their respects and showing solidarity in the face of terror:

Big Love to everyone in Paris. Concert Goers and peoples one and all. Be safe everyone.
