Meet & greet tickets for Justin Bieber's 2016 Purpose Tour are two thousand dollars. No, there are absolutely no typos in that previous sentence, proving that the singer's arrogance has reached a new height of ridiculous.

Yep. Although the majority of his beliebers are still in school and their only stream of revenue is weekly pocket money from their parents, Mr Bieber will be charging them a cool two thousand bucks in exchange for a few seconds of manic screaming and the obligatory selfie. What a bargain, eh?

Bieber is kindly offering three VIP packages for fans desperate to breathe the same air as him before he takes to the stage and quickly storms off for some pathetic reason.

The first package - "The Ultimate #Purpose Experience" will cost a measly $2,000, with fans getting an individual selfie with the guy responsible for this nonsense.

The second package - "The 'I'll Show You' VIP #Purpose Experience" is $925 per person and includes a “group photo” with Bieber.

The third package - “The Where Are You Now Experience” is frankly pretty crappy if you love Justin more than the parents paying for your ticket. Its biggest perk is an “exclusive #getclosetojustin laminate". What. The. Fudge.

Check out screen grabs below for exactly what is (and more importantly, isn’t) on offer for people who buy VIP packages.

Beliebers are usually worryingly loyal to the cause, but we all know that when it comes to money, all bets are off. That’s why we’re not surprised many fans have taken to Twitter with some pretty funny memes and comments:

  • Justin Bieber: Clearly struggling to maintain the new leaf he's supposedly turned over, Bieber left his Oslo gig after just one song. After complaining that nobody was listening to him, his feet were then grabbed by screaming fans in the front row, and he told the crowd, "I'm done, I'm not doing the show."

  • Morrissey: The Smiths frontman is hardly known for his easy-going personality, but he was perhaps justified in leaving a Polish gig after just 25 minutes, given that an audience member had begun hurling "extremely offensive and chauvinistic" abuse at him. It was subsequently claimed that the remarks revolved around his recent cancer diagnosis, which surely would be enough to make even the most thick-skinned artist's blood boil.

  • Lupe Fiasco: A bit of a Shakespearian throwback this - the Chicago rapper had a tomato at him. Unsurprisingly, he wasn't best pleased - "I'm gonna finish the show, but if there's more people like that I need them the fuck out of here. I know what she looks like - fat, white bitch. Find her." In the end though, he didn't finish the show - the audience members he beleived to be responsible refused to leave, and he stormed off stage.

  • Courtney Love: Another perfectly understandable early exit. The Hole singer was performing in Brazil when a fan decided to hold up a picture of her late husband Kurt Cobain. "I have to live with his shit and his ghost and his kid every day," she said, "and throwing that up is stupid and rude and I'm going to beat the fuck out of you if you do it again." Before she left the stage, she suggested the fan "go see the fucking Foo Fighters."

  • Azealia Banks: The rapper was performing at Australia's Listen Out festival when, just 90 seconds in, an audience member threw a can at her head. Understandably, she threw her microphone on the floor (as you can see in this still) and left the stage. It was to be the start of a tumultuous relationship between Banks and Australia.

  • Plan B: After trying and failing to rev up the 80,000 strong Ireland crowd while supporting Eminem, Plan B called the audience "the tamest fucking crowd of my life." Amazingly, his later plea of "come on you cunts!" didn't go down very well either, so he gave up and left.

  • Wiley: Wiley and UK festivals just don't get along. Ahead of his performance at the horrendously named CockRock festival in north Cumbria, he tweeted saying how little he wanted to play. As word spread, the crowd began to loudly boo him, and he left after 15 minutes. "haters suck ur mum wtf" he tweeted afterwards.

  • Eric Clapton: The iconic singer left the stage without explanation during a Glasgow gig, resulting in boos from the crowd - who'd forked out up to £125 for a ticket. Afterwards a rep blamed "unbearable" technical difficulties on his sudden exit.

  • The Stone Roses: The band's drummer, Alan Wren, walked off stage before the end of their reunion gig in Amsterdam a few years back. Ian Brown, who was unhappy with his bandmate, told the crowd, "The drummer has gone home. I'm not kidding you, the drummer has gone home," before calling him a "cunt."

  • Macaulay Culkin: The Home Alone star was performing with his Velvet Underground tribute band The Pizza Underground in Nottingham when he was nearly hit by a flying can during a Kazoo solo. Yes, a Kazoo solo. After fans then took their cue to start hurling drinks, he decided to call it a night.
