Canadian rockers Simple Plan have announced details of an upcoming album and the UK leg of a 2016 world tour. For fans of the five-piece this will be the ‘Perfect’ news to start the week with.
The forthcoming album, entitled Taking One For The Team, will be released on 19 February 2016 and follows 2011’s Get Your Heart On! - which featured collaborations with Natasha Bedingfield and Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo to name a few.
Unveiling the news on a Facebook post, the band expressed their excitement to unleash new material. “We have been working on these new songs for almost two years now and we cannot wait to share them with you. We all feel like this is our best album yet and there's nothing better than knowing that, in a few months, you will be able to hear the final result,” they said.
In a double header of big announcements, Simple Plan also revealed the first set of dates for next year’s Taking One For The Team World Tour. Hitting the UK in March, the band are set to play four dates with Ghost Town as support.
