Just when we thought Dave Grohl’s drum battle with Animal couldn’t get any better, the ex Nirvana drummer’s rendition of ‘Learn To Fly’ with The Muppets may have just topped it.

Grohl, who has played with the Foo FightersNirvanaQueen Of The Stone AgeThem Crooked VulturesGarbage and Nine Inch Nails has now added Miss Piggy’s house band, Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem to his ever-long list of bands he has played with.

The latest episode of the ABC hit show saw The Muppets and Dave Grohl conversing in a pre-gig talk before launching into the Foo Fighter’s classic, ‘Learn To Fly’. With Grohl on guitar and lead vocals, Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem provided drums, horns and keys whilst Miss Piggy introduced the band. The mash-up band appeared to be performing to a live audience who comprised of fans as well as Muppets – both of which thoroughly loved it.

In the episode, Gonzo is launched out of a cannon as he ‘learns to fly’, with the ‘Everlong’ singer and his fellow puppets providing the appropriate soundtrack.
