10 artists compete for broadcaster's Song of the Year 2015 prize

The BBC has just announced the shortlist of artists nominated for the broadcaster's prestigious Song of the Year 2015 prize, with big hits such as Ed Sheeran's 'Bloodstream', Ellie Goulding's 'Love Me Like You Do' and The Weeknd's 'Can't Feel My Face' all appearing on the star-studded shortlist:

• Ellie Goulding - 'Love Me Like You Do'
• Hozier - 'Take Me To Church'
• Jason Derulo - 'Want To Want Me'
• Jess Glynne - 'Hold My Hand'
• Major Lazer & DJ Snake feat. MØ - 'Lean On'
• Mark Ronson feat. Bruno Mars - 'Uptown Funk'
• OMI - 'Cheerleader (Felix Jaehn Remix)'
• The Weeknd - 'Can't Feel My Face'
• Wiz Khalifa feat. Charlie Puth - 'See You Again'

UK fans can vote for their favourite song of 2015 through the BBC's website on Wednesday 9 December, between 7am and 8pm. The results will be announced the following night at a ceremony hosted by Chris Evans and Fearne Cotton at Birmingham's Genting Arena.

"Voting for the Song of the Year award means our audiences can get involved and tell us what their standout track is from some of the year's biggest artists."
