Dr. Luke "threatened to destroy Kesha's life and the lives of her family" if she didn't lie about his sexual assaults in a 2011, according to her lawyer.
As previously reported, Kesha filed a lawsuit against Dr. Luke back in 2014, claiming that he had sexually and emotionally abused her over the course of a decade. On one occasion, she says, Dr. Luke forced her to snort something before getting on a plane, "and during the trip he forced himself on her while she was drugged."
In her suit, the singer asked to be allowed to record with a label not owned by her alleged abuser. On Friday (19 February), a judge ruled that she could not be released from her contract, and is still obliged to record four more albums under Dr. Luke's label.
After members of the public and fellow musicians came out in support of Kesha, TMZ have dug up footage in which she denies, under oath, having had an "intimate relationship" with Dr. Luke, or having been drugged by him.
In response though, her lawyer, Mark Geragos, said that Dr. Luke had "threatened to destroy Kesha's life and the lives of her family if she didn't cover up his sexual assaults in a 2011 deposition."
The statement concludes, "After being driven to the brink of death and into rehab, she's no longer going to allow herself to wither away at the hands of her abuser as he tries to blame the victim."
Meanwhile, Kesha recently spoke out for the first time since losing the injuction, to thankfans for their support.
