Streams of The Stone Roses' music have increased by a huge 500% since the release of their new single 'All For One' last week. It was the Manchester band's first music in over two decades.

We recently gave our own reaction to the single, whilst looking at some of the best and worst responses on social media.

What cannot be argued with, is that new data from music streaming service Deezer showed that streams for Stone Roses tracks have increased by 500 per cent the day after the singles release.

Sam Lee, Deezer UK & Ireland’s Music Editor, spoke out: "Despite a lack of new material for two decades, The Stone Roses have continued in popularity among fans of the 90s Madchester’s music scene. While the release of All For One has certainly divided opinion among fans, it would appear the airtime is clearly working in favour of the band with more streams than ever before on Deezer. Who knows, the release may have awakened a new generation to the power of Ian Brown and the boys."

Rumours about The Stone Roses returning with new music have circulated for years upon years, with the band first reforming for a series of gigs in 2012.

Noel Gallagher announced he had the inside scoop on the exciting new material, that might culminate in a new album for the rock group.

It has been widely speculated, by several tabloids, that the group's third album would arrive this summer to coincide with their upcoming live dates, which include four headline shows at Manchester's Etihad Stadium.

In addition to their Manchester shows, The Stone Roses have gigs lined up in Dublin, New York, Japan, and a massive headline slot at T In The Park.

He can be found @Benjaminabutler where he'll be spouting nonsense on anything from the state of modern house music, to the UK festival scene and pop-punk bands or how bar tokens are the worst thing that has happened to live events, ever.
