Elderly Polish couple visit London, end up raving in Fabric until 5am

Now this is the definition of a power couple

Elderly Polish couple visit London, go raving at Fabric nightclub Photo:

An elderly couple decided to go clubbing at Fabric until 5am when they visited the capital.

The pensioners, from Warsaw in Poland, had seen a review of the prominent nightclub in a local paper, and decided to go while visiting their daughter who lives in Watford.

The pair are both in their late 70s, and bought tickets to the club in Farringdon for the 'WetYourSelf' club night on Sunday night. When they arrived at doors opening - 10pm (a little early, but they'll get there), the nightclub promoter was worried they might be lost so tracked down a translator.

Resident DJ at Fabric's WetYourSelf party Jacob Husley shared the ridiculous story on Facebook. He explained, "They had purchased tickets online in Poland after reading a club review of Fabric in the newspaper and came when doors opened" and they'd planned "to take the tube home when it finished at 6am" like the weekend warriors they probably are.

Husley kindly "told them they had a free bar, gave them 2 shots of tequila to start, but after that asked if they could have cups of tea. They were ballroom dancing on the dance floor, although not for too long as the lady was using a crutch and didn't walk so well..."

Remarkably, they stayed until 5am, when Husley and the team "convinced them to take our offer of a free taxi home instead of waiting for the tube". Thankfully, they had a great time and Husley paid tribute to "an amazing couple, so much humour, love and playfulness between these two. Our bodies might age but our souls are timeless".

Perhaps the next time you fancy making a swift exit from a night-out think about these two's appreciation of techno, and their immense spirit. And, fingers crossed when some of us become pensioners we'll be getting shipped in buses to Berghain and Fabric, rather than Butlins.
