Adele is reportedly set to sign the most expensive record deal ever signed by a British musician - as well as the biggest ever record deal for a woman.
As the ‘Hello’ singer heads towards the end of her contract with XL Recordings, she is poised to sign a £90 million deal with Sony Music, The Sun reports.
According to a source from the label, Adele will sign the contract in the coming weeks - adding to her already hefty net worth of £85 million.
This deal would be the biggest ever signed by a Britsh musician - eclipsing Robbie Williams’ (yes, really) £80 million deal with EMI back in 2002. It would also be the most expensive contract of any female artist in the world, beating Whitney Houston’s £70 million signing with Arista.
XL Recordings are yet to comment on the reports.
