Frances Bean Cobain’s estranged husband Isaiah Silva is refusing to give back Kurt Cobain’s famous MTV Unplugged guitar as part of the pair’s divorce settlement.

The 1959 Martin D-18E - photographed above - has been passed down from Cobain to his wife Courtney Love, and then to their daughter Frances Bean Cobain. It’s estimated to be worth millions of dollars, and is said to be the last guitar Cobain played before his death in 1994.

Silva, to whom Frances was married for just under two years before filing for divorce in March, claims that the guitar was given to him as a present - she denies that.

Courtney Love recently told TMZ, “It’s not his to take,” calling it a “treasured heirloom.”
