It has come to light via the Twitter account of The Libertines, that BBC Four are making a documentary about the band.

Last night the band tweeted out an image of both Pete and Carl, asking fans to help the BBC in making the documentary. Move aside, reruns of the Old Grey Whistle Test, and the like.

We're getting something rather interesting in the way of a documentary that will probably base itself around the songwriting pair's love/hate relationship.

It was only in 2011 that the band had a documentary made about them called, There Are No Innocent Bystanders by director Roger Sargent.

Sargent also went on to make a short film about the band's time in Thailand called Anthems For Doomed Youth.

There are no further details with regards to the content of the documentary yet, but if you think you have some information that will be of use to the BBC, email: phop@7wonder.co.uk.

The Libertines have very recently announced an intimate gig in Brixton Academy with Rat Boy as support in aid of Unity Rocks.
