Green Day front man Billie Joe Armstrong is set to swap the live arena for that of the cinema, as his latest venture the comedy movie ‘Ordinary World’ is set for release.
The film sees the rocker take on the role of Perry (a former punk star) whose band is on a long-term break and he is struggling with reality.
The story is that Perry’s wife and daughter both forget his 40th birthday and his brother takes pity on him.
This heart-warming comedy sees our former rocker led on a merry chase as his brother leads him astray.
His musical past, old friends and bandmates all rear their heads as he learns just how much his life has progressed.
The cast includes, Selma Blair, Fred Armison and Judy Greer.
‘Ordinary World’ was praised at the Tribeca Film Festival earlier this year and features four original songs by Armstrong.
Of the four ‘Ordinary World’ will feature on the new Green Day album ‘Revolution Radio’.
Green Day have sold over 85 million albums to date and both the movie starring Billie Joe Armstrong and the band’s new album are both due for release in October.
