Flying Lotus has joined Aphex Twin as the main draw for Field Day 2017.
The experimental genre-defying LA-based producer is one of the most extraordinary sound architects of our time and is renowned for his live performances.
FlyLo hasn't released an album since 2014's You're Dead despite promising a new album for 2016. Next year will hopefully see the long-awaited new release.
It's not like he's been quiet, though. The Brainfeeder label boss has also released the likes of celebrated artists Thundercat, Kamasi Washington and DJ Paypal in the past year alone.
Joining Flying Lotus on the bill for the event, which takes place on 3 and 4 June in Victoria Park, East London, are a mighty array of great acts.
The awesome Tinariwen-esque desert blues band Imarahan are not the most obious draw but well worth checking out. American singer/songwriter Kevin Morby - who's quite simply one of the most amazing solo artists of our time is unmissable live.
Moreover, Moderat and Forest Swords will provide the best electronic sounds and Death Grips will show why he's considered one of the most powerful performers of the last 15 years. This could well be Field Day's most robust line-up yet with each and every act seemingly well worth listening to.
Meanwhile, Slowdive have just been announced, too.
