The BMW 750IL in which Tupac Shakur was shot and killed has gone on sale for $1.5 million.
Collectors of morbid memorabilia can snap up the car on MomentsInTime.com, under the assurance that, despite being restored, bullet holes and indentations from the shooting that killed Shakur in the car’s passenger seat in 1996 are still visible.
Since the murder, the car has changed hands several times and racked up 90,000 miles on the clock. It was ultimately impounded by the Las Vegas Police Department and purchased by the auction site.
The site is also selling the dented pendent that Tupac was wearing when he was shot five times by robbers while entering Quad Studios in New York City in 1994, with bids starting at $125,000.
Last year several pieces of Tupac memorabilia went to auction, including his personal multi-platinum disc for the album ‘Me Against The World’, the contracts he signed for the films Juice and Poetic Justice and handwritten lyrics. A Tupac Shakur biopic entitled is due for release in the US on June 16, which would have been Shakur’s 46th birthday.
