So with the long, Bank Holiday weekend upon us, what better way to kick off than with some gnarly rock’n’roll from those fine purveyors of the form, The Black Lips?
The self-proclaimed Atlantan flower punks have elected to share ‘Squatting In Heaven’ from their forthcoming album, Satan’s Graffiti Or God’s Art, which is scheduled for release on May 5. As previously reported on Gigwise, the new album is the band’s eighth studio record and has been produced by the guiding hand of Sean Lennon at his studio compound in upstate New York.

The new album is certainly generating some heated interest. Founder members Cole Alexander and Jared Swilley have reunited with erstwhile guitarist Jack Hine who previously played with the group from 2002-2004. They are also joined by Oakley Munson on drums and saxophonist Zumi Rosow.
The album also features contributions by Saul Adamczewski of Fat White Family and guest vocals by Yoko Ono.
