Spanish rock’n’rollers The Parrots have released a live version of ‘Jame Gumb’ and you can watch it exclusively here on Gigwise.
The track was recorded at the Vevo stage at the Great Escape festival in Brighton just under two weeks ago. The original version of ‘Jame Gumb’ appears on their debut album, Los Niños Sin Miedo, which came out on Heavenly Records last year.
For the uninitiated, Diego García (vocals/guitar), Alex de Lucas (bass) and Larry Balboa (drums) met at university in Madrid, and have played across Europe, the US and Central America.
Speaking of the album and their rise from an indifferent music, the band said: “The idea of Los Niños Sin Miedo – The Fearless Kids – came about because in Spain it’s really difficult to make it as a rock’n’roll band.
“When we started there were so many indie bands, indie bands, indie bands. No one would back us, no other bands, no media, nobody. So we got on with it, and people started coming to our shows, promoters started booking us, but at the beginning it was just our gang of friends in Madrid, working on our music, writing, singing, DJing, art, photography.”
And you can get on board now, too…
