Liam Gallagher has unveiled his first solo single and video. Check out 'Wall Of Glass' below.

It's here. After not much more than an endless stream of (hilarious) Tweets from the former Oasis frontman, the youngest Gallagher has finally given the world the first taste of his brilliantly-titled upcoming debut LP, As You Were.

That distinct Mancunian drawl from the icon who personifies Britpop is as powerful as ever on 'Wall Of Glass', with the track signalling a confident comeback with classic swagger. Gallagher does have one foot in 2017 though, with a fresher bass-heavy production complimenting his vocals and Oasis-sounding guitar shreds.

The accompanying video was directed by François Rousselet, who's worked previously with Jack White on the video to 'Lazaretto'.

LG introduced the track last night on MistaJam's Radio 1 show, where he described the new cut simply as a "rock 'n' roll tune, guitar music."

He added: "Some people try to reinvent the wheel, but I just like to give it a good shine."

Gallagher showcased more new tracks from As You Were at his first solo show at Manchester Ritz this week, along with some Oasis classics. Tracks included 'Greedy Soul', 'Bold', 'It Doesn't Have To Be That Way' and 'You'd Better Run. You'd Better Hide'.

Following this first release, Gallagher will take to the stage at Electric Brixton in London tonight, before stopping off at Glasgow's Barrowland Ballroom and Olympia Theatre, Dublin. The rock 'n' roll star will also take on a huge slot at this summer's Reading & Leeds festivals, playing before Muse on the main stage.

Elsewhere, Gallagher briefly appeared on the Glastonbury line-up poster earlier this week, and was then removed. He's therefore likely to be taking one of the TBA slots on the bill.
