The Cribs have released a new single 'In Your Palace' today (June 2). Check it out on Gigwise below.

Making good on their promise, the Wakefield band of brothers have returned with new material, which could mean we're getting closer to their seventh - yes, seventh - studio album.

After teasing the track on social media and giving the first spin to Steve Lamacq on his BBC 6 Music show last night, the Jarmans have unleashed the raw power of 'In Your Palace' online.

The back-to-basics cut was put together by legendary Nirvana producer Steve Albini, who injects a dose of grunge and captures the band's plug in and play style brilliantly. It's certainly good news for fans of their earlier material.

The band have recently been handpicking record stores around the UK to stock a rare vinyl for fans to get their hands on. The 7" was made available at specific times posted by the band, with Jumbo Records in Leeds and Piccadilly Records in Manchester being among the locations. Keep your eyes peeled, as further releases seem likely.

The Cribs' sixth studio record For All My Sisters was released back in 2014.

Elsewhere, the band have just finished a huge tour, celebrating the tenth anniversary of their breakthrough record Men's Needs, Women's Needs, Whatever. The dates came to a close with a huge homecoming gig at Leeds Arena.
