'Little Of Your Love', from HAIM's forthcoming LP, follows on from two other studio track's lifted ahead of its release - 'Right Now' and 'Want You Back' - and is streaming on Gigwise below.
We heard a live version of this new release last month since it was performed on Saturday Night Live, but this new studio version is far better listening and hints at what a lush album they have on the horizon.
'Little Of Your Love' also has happier feel and is a better summer song than the slow-building 'Right Now', and the moody 'Want You Back'. It takes no time at all to get into gear, becoming the most easily accessible new HAIM track thus far.
Despite it having quite a poppy, approachable nature, a closer listen shows HAIM having pushed the boat out sonically. With so much depth, it helps the cut feel fresh even after multiple spins.
Every channel on a huge recording desk and then some must have been used. The diversity of sound is inspiring as retro guitar fills, stomping drums, vocoder parts, and main vocal parts regularly panning from left to right are just some of the various nuances. Hearing these it starts to make sense why they've spent so long between albums. The band don't seem to have been wasting any time, just exploring new approaches to sound to get something that truly does do them justice.
Something to Tell You, the long-awaited follow up to 2013's Days Are Gone - with its infectious blend of 90s R n' B, classic rock and folk - is out 7 July.
