Orlando Weeks, former frontman of cult indie band The Maccabees, has announced another solo tour for the new year. The news follows confirmation that his debut solo album Orlando will arrive in 2020.

The singer-songwriter will play a run of eight dates around the UK in March, including a date in Norwich. His tour in September of this year was a sell-out affair, bringing tender solo project The Gritterman to people around the country.

After the break up of The Maccabees, Weeks returned with his solo project The Gritterman, which arrived as an album with a storybook written and illustrated by the artist. An alternative festive tale, the bittersweet project featured Paul Whitehouse in the role of a recently-bereaved gritterman coming to terms with his wife's death.

New album Orlando will arrive in the new year, though no news on whether that will be a concept project too.
