Former Beatle reckons leaving the EU is 'a good move'
The Beatles drummer appeared on BBC’s Newsnight yesterday to encourage the powers that be to "get on with it".
"The people voted" said the legendary sticksman, 77. "Suddenly, it’s like, ‘Oh, well, we don’t like that vote. What do you mean you don’t like that vote? You had the vote, this is what won, let’s get on with it."

However, he explained, not all rockstars feel the same way as him: "Don’t tell Bob Geldof."
Echoing the rhetoric of the Leave campaign, which won by a slim majority last summer, the LA resident reckoned "I think it’s a great move. I think, you know, to be in control of your country is a good move.”
Fellow Beatle Paul McCartney told an interviewer for the Washington Post last year that he’d prefer to err on the side of Remain. "I think I would have come down on the remain side because people like the Governor of the Bank of England, a lot of financial experts, were saying that.”
Neither voted as they were out of the country at the time.
Tomorrow (September 15) Starr releases all-new studio album Give More Love featuring guest spots from McCartney, Dave Stewart and Jeff Lynne.
Alongside his All Starr Band, Ringo will also perform an eight-date residency at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino between October 13 - 28
