A rollicking and ramshackle new delivery from a band who live and breathe the rock ‘n’ roll ethos.

Mixing in circles frequented by many This Feeling alumni, it’s easy to see how Breed have become accustomed to the rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle. Now ready to share a new cut of material with the world, the four-piece from Essex have crafted a mighty sonic hit with ‘Gimme More’, which proves they have more than earned their place – and you can hear it first here on Gigwise.

With riffs heavy enough to disintegrate the pier in their native Clacton-on-Sea, the new offering is a charging, monstrous assault on the ear in the best possible way. Tinges of psych-rock shine through as singer Jake James sings, “My glassy eyes are focused on the prize,” and there’s not a doubt in anyone’s mind that these words aren’t true.

Honed in the Tom Donovan Studio in Colchester, the track was fairly swift in it’s creation. “It’s probably the easiest song we’ve ever written,” says frontman Jake. “Max [James, guitarist] came up with the riff and then within minutes I had the lyrics down.”

Catch Breed live at 229 The Venue in London with False Heads and Trampolene next week (Thursday 21st).
