Good news for fans of Steven Wilson as he reveals his new video for ‘Nowhere Now’ and announces and third and final date at London’s prestigious Royal Albert Hall as part of his spring UK tour.
Taken from his fifth solo album, the video for ‘Nowhere Now’ finds Wilson in gloriously anthemic form. And little wonder – as a songwriter and producer of some considerable note, he’s worked with the likes of Opeth, King Crimson, Pendulum, Jethro Tull, XTC, Yes, Marillion, Tears For Fears and Roxy Music as well as his own band, Porcupine Tree, Wilson knows how to navigate his way around a song. And with that kind of pedigree, you can see why he’s singing the praises of everyday escapism.
James Bond fans will recognise some of the locations from Daniel Craig’s second outing as the superspy, Quantum Of Solace. That’s because the video wasshot on location at and around Atacama Large Millimeter Array (Alma) in Chile – the world famous, high altitude radio telescope array. The video was directed and edited by Steven’s long time visual collaborator Lasse Hoile.
As for that third date at the Royal Albert Hall, Steven Wilson plays the celebrated on Thursday, March 29th. His two previously announced shows there are sold out. Tickets for the new gig go on sale at 9am, Friday September 22.
