More about: Rammstein
Whoah! Now just wait a minute there! Rammstein guitarist Richard Kruspe has said that the band’s much anticipated next album could well be their last. Actually, did we say “much anticipated”? Make that “long awaited” – it’s been eight years since 2009’s Liebe Ist Für Alle Da.

The guitarist for the German industrial metal titans – best known for the literally explosive nature of their live shows - had previously revealed that band had started work on the new album and of the 30 songs that had been written for record, six were “very good”. However, the guitarist is harbouring doubts about the band’s future.
Speaking to Spain’s Resurrection Fest (via Diffuser), Kruspe said, “I just feel like, for some reason, that it’s going to be the last record we do. That’s a feeling. I can be wrong – but just at the moment, I feel like this is maybe the last shot we have. I want to give 200% and make it as good as it can be. When I listen to the stuff, there’s so much potential.”
And it doesn’t sound like they’ve been having the best of times in the studio. He continued: “I was very skeptical to go back into the studio. Last time we almost broke up making a record.
“It’s always very, very stressful and painful. We came up with an agreement to only record maybe five songs. We started two years ago – and just playing with the guys was very natural. I had a lot of fun. Since then we’ve created ideas. We’ve managed to move back to the beginning of the world of Rammstein – very emotional and enthusiastic. It feels like a circle, almost.”
Rammstein released the live album Rammstein: Paris earlier this year which was shot on their Made In Germany 1995 – 2011 tour. Here’s hoping they get that next album out.
