The Avalanches have been forced to delay their highly anticipated second album yet again after their label said it wasn’t good enough.

The follow up to the sample freaks debut 2001 album â€˜Since I Left You’ is now a mammoth five years in the making but according to Modular it still sounds too “rushed”. Eh?

In the labels latest mail out they announced: “We finally took receipt of the long-awaited follow up to the smashing Since I Left You the other week. We listened to it over and over, but to be honest, the whole thing sounded kinda rushed.”

“Rather than push out a half- arsed, less than thought out sophomore album, we’ve sent them back to the studio to spend a little more time on it. Fingers crossed they get it right this time.”

The wait is killing us!
